Pre-Surgical Care

Our comprehensive surgical care begins with thorough preoperative screening and exam to help reduce the risk of complications for your pet. Below are the two tests we will run before your pets exam:

CBC- A CBC evaluates blood and different types of cell currently in circulation. It also evaluates your pet's red blood cells, which carry oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body and white blood cells, which fight infections and other diseases. It will also test platelets which help with blood clotting.

Chem 10- A Chem 10 measures the amount of certain substances in your pet's blood, such as electrolytes, fats, proteins, glucose, and enzymes. The test can provide important information about your pet's overall health and how well your pet's organs are functioning.
