Mya was found abandoned on the street. Mya's owner says, "Mya is everything husky to the core. She’s a silly girl that will do all kinds of challenging things but you present her with a statue or a balloon arch and she’s outta there. If she doesn’t want to do something she just goes flat as a pancake."
Mya is a very talented and intelligent girl who has a series of accolades. Mya has her DCAT, which is received after completing a coursing ability test. It is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. She also has completed the canine good citizen test and has her CGCU CGCA. Mya also has her TKN, which means she is an AKC Novice Trick Dog. She can perform 10 skills from the novice skill list. She also is a FITG dog, meaning Mya and her owner have walked a specified distance together. Mya is currently working towards the FCAT, which is at the end of June for the summer classics. Mya is also practicing barn hunt and hopes to enter trials soon.
Mya is not only talented and intelligent, but she is also a fighter. Mya has battled through a variety of health conditions. Most notably, she has fought the rare disease Chagas. Chagas disease, also known as American Trypanosomiasis or kissing bug disease, is a parasitic infection that can affect dogs' hearts, muscles, and blood. It's caused by the protozoa Trypanosoma cruzi, which is spread by the bite or feces of infected kissing bugs. Mya has come out on top of the rare disease and has not let it slow her down.
Mya's owner shared, "We absolutely love all of you at the clinic. You all help on many levels with her care and I feel comfortable taking my fur babies to you all! I also love that Dr. Roach offers a holistic approach and now we have Dr. Anderson from traditional medicine working together! Mya has done fecal transplants which was so eye-opening and incredible and not at all what I thought it would be. We’ve done numerous testing with Dr. Roach and Dr Anderson."
We are so excited that we have got to be a part of Mya's healing journey. Check out Mya's Instagram @myathehusky2020. Hs your pet been positively impacted by Holistic Pet Care Center? Leave a comment below.
