River

Veterinary Assistant

River's Story 

River has always loved working with and being around animals. River has over five years of experience working with animals as both a veterinary assistant and groomer. River also worked as an EMT for six years and a paramedic for two years.
 
On top of having an exciting job history, River has been involved in some exciting projects such as a program that trained Veterans with PTSD and/or physical disabilities how to break and train horses. River has also helped rehabilitate wild animals alongside her mother. 

River has two dogs, a cat, and a ball python. River's dog, Blue, is just as adventurous as her owner. Blue comes from champion blue heeler stock. Blue loves to swim and kayak with River. Blue's name has a funny origin story. River and her mother's favorite song was Me and You and a Dog named Boo. River and her mother misheard the lyrics and thought it was, "me and you and a dog named Blue." Thus, Blue's name came to be.
